Mark your calendars and join us for the 14th Buoy Technology Workshop, this year, held in conjunction with the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Coastal Ocean Research and Monitoring Program (CORMP). The event brings together the coastal and ocean data gathering community for site tours, networking, education, site tours, and a look at the industry advances.

14th Buoy Workshop Postponed until 2021
The 14th Buoy Technology Workshop, originally scheduled for April 13-16, 2020 in Wilmington, North Carolina will now take place in 2021 due to concerns about COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus disease 2019. Full refunds will be given to all those who have registered.
The health and wellbeing of our members, exhibitors, staff, and partners is of paramount concern. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and follow direction from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
MTS recognizes that this is undoubtedly a great disappointment as the Buoy Technology Workshop is one of the most anticipated events of the year for many in our community. Please know that the decision to postpone the event was not taken lightly. However, we do believe that this is the wisest course of action given the rapidly evolving developments around COVID-19.
The level of planning to ensure the success of this workshop is significant and we wish to thank all those involved for their ongoing support. Over the coming months, we will be working diligently to ensure the success of the Buoy Workshop when it returns in 2021. We will continue to provide updates as they surface.
